ARMORE HOUSE

Overview

Ardmore House, situated within the prestigious grounds of historical University College Dublin, underwent a major refurbishment project in early 2019. Timlin Construction was appointed to perform the intricate demolition of this renowned 1870’s building. We were tasked with weathering the building, which was to be retained.

AULU MAXIMA

Overview

In 2018, Newman House began a fresh chapter in its association with UCD, as it opened the new “Ulysses Centre” at St Stephens Green, Dublin. This 10-million-euro projects inception began its journey to fruition, when Timlin Construction was charged with undertaking the removal of 4 storey fire escape stairs, underpinning temporary works, the removal of floors, the removal of concrete floors, as well as forming structural openings. This substantial phase of works rendered the site ready for its next exciting phase of development.

BRU CHOMAIN

Overview

Timlin Construction commenced work in 2012 on the historical Bru Chaoimhin Community Nursing Unit in Dublin 8. This Health Service Executive owned, listed building had many fire escapes which had been condemned. Timlin Construction undertook the complex assignment of removing all condemned fire escapes and access stairs to the entire building.All internal wall finishes were removed utilising temporary works. In addition, Structural supports were fitted to existing flooring, and we also removed facias and gutters to the entire building while forming structural door openings

CASTLEBAR COURTHOUSE

Overview

This magnificent structure in the heart of Castlebar, in County Mayo underwent a full renovation and construction of new extension in 2003. Timlin Construction were responsible for underpinning, complete roof removals while carefully preserving the fabric of the building, demolition of internal structural walls, complete floor excavations to courtrooms, and listed furniture removals.

GOTHE INSTITUTE

Overview

A jewel in the crown of Dublin’s cultural institutes, the GOETH Institut underwent a multi-million-euro renovation in 2017. These magnificent, historic, Georgian townhouses, which overlook the beautiful Merrion Square, were renovated attentively ensuring the integrity of the buildings were maintained whilst creating a contemporary working space. Timlin Construction were responsible for all basement excavations to facilitate a reduced floor level, formwork to unstable walls, demolition of internal structural walls, underpinning, forming structural openings and conscientious plaster removal.

Overview

In 2015, The Dublin Institute of Technology redeveloped its campus at Grange Gorman to meet the demands of the modern era of education facilities. We were tasked with the entire strip out of three listed buildings on the site. Ourother works included temporary works, forming structural openings, excavations within the existing buildings, demolition of structural walls and Creating and pouring padstones. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure that this work was completed on schedule.

Overview

In May 2015, The Institute of Education, currently one of Irelands Largest Private secondary schools in Ireland,undertook to renovate its site in Leeson Street, Dublin. Our role in this enterprise was   the removal of the roof structures, plaster removal, facade retention, temporary works, underpinning, floor removals and ground floor slab removal.

NURSES BULIDING LEESON ST.

Overview

Timlin Construction was tasked in 2017,with carrying out the initial demolition works to the Nurses Home at Leeson Street, in Dublin city centre. This prime property, a substantial granite-faced, three story period building, is contained on the Record of Protected Structures, and had lain vacant for many years prior to the work. Our role involved involved inserting crash decks, removal of floors to the internals of the building, removal of staircases externally, and internally, plaster removal and underpinning Removal of windows and doors.

Overview

Set within the district surrounding the historical Trinity College, Dublin, “Highlight” student accommodation on Thomas street now offers stylish student accommodation in Dublin. Prior to this, commencing in 2017, this centrally located building underwent major refurbishment to bring it to its current, contemporary feel.Timlin Constructions qualified team undertook the removal of roofs, Façade retention, temporary works to shopfronts, removal of all timber floors, underpinning, floor excavations and chimney demolition

Overview

A complete restoration and extension of this listed building in County Offaly. Timlin Construction carried out the complete strip out of the entire building. Our specialist workforce we involved in the removal of roof finishes and vaulted ceilings , underpinning, and basement excavations, while retaining the fabric of the building protection to the inside of the building

WIND MILL LANE

Overview

For four decades, windmill Lane has been a cornerstone of creativity in Ireland. Situated in the heart of the Dublin Docklands, these buildings have housed filmmakers, musicians and artists. In 2017, Our dedicated teamvigilantly removed the temporary works system which had been retaining the external walls, managed underpinning and demolition of internal walls. In addition, our skilful operatives removed the entire ground floor slab, all the while maintaining the integrity of this historical Dublin landmark.
